Cardiff City FC's Vladimiro Leobardo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Dênis Santos fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Airborne FC's protests and gave Dênis Santos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Airborne FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Dênis Santos hit a great ball. Teo Iztal shot from long distance in the 9th minute, but Diamantino de Queiroz was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. 10 minutes into the match, Cardiff City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexsandro Simões came free, but Vladimiro Leobardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17thth minute of the game Hélio Terra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cardiff City FC's Vladimiro Leobardo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Airborne FC's goalkeeper Diamantino de Queiroz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oscar Blai. After a rather tough play, Cardiff City FC's Fabricio Egun got a free kick in the 26th minute. Vladimiro Leobardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélio Terra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esteban Vimaro had several of the Airborne FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 30 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Diamantino de Queiroz as he didn't even see the shot coming. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Lorencio during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cardiff City FC's Vladimiro Leobardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélio Terra in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio Terra in the 37th minute of play forced Cardiff City FC's goalkeeper Vladimiro Leobardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esteban Vimaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino de Queiroz having to interfere. After 44 played minutes, Cardiff City FC's Teo Iztal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Diamantino de Queiroz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cardiff City FC reached it. Vladimiro Leobardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélio Terra, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Vladimiro Leobardo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Airborne FC's Betão Ramalho got a free kick in the 85th minute. Diamantino de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Blai in the 89th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Oscar Blai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diamantino de Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3.
