After recieving a nice pass, Eleven Nation Army's Roland Brenner tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Hønning's Folmar Dandanell got control of the ball when Jan-Olof Kjellman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hønning's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Roland Brenner scored to the left of an out of position Folmar Dandanell, making the score, 1-0. Harry Bøndorff took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ted Igelström. Ted Igelström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Samson Erreboe charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Samson Erreboe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 41 played minutes Hønning got a freekick which was hit by Samson Erreboe. Ted Igelström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eberhardt Næsager, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Eberhardt Næsager received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ted Igelström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eberhardt Næsager to strike the kick off in the second half. Ted Igelström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eberhardt Næsager in the 56th minute of the match. In the 60th match minute, Hønning was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc Haugsted to maneuver through the defense. Ted Igelström was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. Ulrik Wieder's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ted Igelström firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ted Igelström didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 81st minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. When Eberhardt Næsager came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Hønning fans jumped to their feet.
