After 21 minutes of play, Eleven Nation Army's Per-Olof Brandt made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgardo Librado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Villa Ballester FC's Edgardo Librado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Brenner in the 27th minute of play. After 32 minutes, Joakim Granberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eleven Nation Army and the Villa Ballester FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd minute, one of Eleven Nation Army:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Eleven Nation Army. In the 36th minute, Per-Olof Brandt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Eleven Nation Army booed when Villa Ballester FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Lehoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th match minute, Eleven Nation Army was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magne Bratt to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julio Emmanuel to strike the kick off in the second half. When Eleven Nation Army's Per-Olof Brandt, in the 91st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Eleven Nation Army. Edgardo Librado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Per-Olof Brandt's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. 95 minutes into the match, Eleven Nation Army's Per-Olof Brandt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgardo Librado narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
