The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 17th match minute, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Martino to maneuver through the defense. Elvio Ariando kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Emmanuel in the 20th minute of play forced Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goalkeeper Edgardo Kinsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ defense, Tomás Clementi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgardo Kinsen. The Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgardo Kinsen should have stopped the shot. 31 minutes into the game, Alejandro Preda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Villa Ballester FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ the free kick. Alejandro Preda hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. When Flavio Urbez came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavio Urbez couldn't finish the play. Camilo Palben kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. A collision led to Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Cipriano Martino hit a great ball. Edgardo Kinsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Clementi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 48 minutes, Camilo Palben mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ and the Villa Ballester FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Camilo Palben hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julio Emmanuel to make the kick off. The supporters of Villa Ballester FC booed when Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Tristan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Tomás Clementi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Edgardo Kinsen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Edgardo Librado came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Camilo Palben. But to his dismay, Camilo Palben quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Teobaldo Canor kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Villa Ballester FC were the better team. Villa Ballester FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
