Jacobo Ibon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naldo Viana in the 3rd minute of play. Gurdurão's attentive Vladimir Rossi managed to snatch the ball when Rufus Peterson made a throw-in in the 5th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruninho Novaes in the 8th minute of play forced Sporting Tuga FC's goalkeeper Jacobo Ibon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gurdurão's Wilson Vianna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Gurdurão from getting a goal against them. 20 minutes into the match, Renan Cunha notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sporting Tuga FC's Jacobo Ibon. Jacobo Ibon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Gurdurão defense, Fulvio Di Giacomo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Vianna. The Gurdurão fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Vianna should have stopped the shot. Wilson Vianna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Costa in the 35th minute of play. Douglas de Amaral made in the 37th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sporting Tuga FC's Gau Montaña. Wilson Vianna was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Géza Herman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Géza Herman really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1.

The supporters of Sporting Tuga FC booed when Gurdurão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renan Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Naldo Viana kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jacobo Ibon. That made the score 2-2 in the 56 minute of play. In the 60thth minute of the game Géza Herman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gurdurão's Wilson Vianna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sporting Tuga FC's Jacobo Ibon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruninho Novaes in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute Naldo Viana suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Carlos Pinto fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Tuga FC's protests and gave Carlos Pinto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd match minute, Sporting Tuga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Pinto to maneuver through the defense. Bruninho Novaes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacobo Ibon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Géza Herman sped through Gurdurão's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wilson Vianna. 81 minutes into the match, Gurdurão's goal looked a bit too open when Géza Herman came free, but Wilson Vianna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Pinto was shown his second yellow card after 85 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Carlos Pinto hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ezequiel Cabral got free with Jacobo Ibon in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute João Felix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Vianna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 minutes, Bruninho Novaes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gurdurão and the Sporting Tuga FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sporting Tuga FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gurdurão for a fine match.
