Spectators: 7569 (Terracing: 5678, Seating: 1740, VIP seats: 151) Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toni Polster in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck René Higuita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 15th minute Toni Polster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but René Higuita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. René Higuita came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by MKS Legion Częstochowa's Teobald Gaszynski. But to his dismay, Teobald Gaszynski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. MKS Legion Częstochowa's Edmund Wielkopolski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafin Froylan in the 29th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Serafin Froylan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edmund Wielkopolski. That made the score 1-2 in the 29 minute of play. Edmund Wielkopolski made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Narciso Eriz sent off a good shot on target. René Higuita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Józef Pilsudski in the 35th minute of play. Józef Pilsudski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without René Higuita having to interfere. René Higuita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toni Polster went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The Kaplan players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MKS Legion Częstochowa were winning 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teobald Gaszynski was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tytus Ogrodowicz during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, MKS Legion Częstochowa's Tytus Ogrodowicz got a free kick in the 54th minute. A collision led to Kaplan getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Mauricio Cordera hit a great ball. René Higuita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobald Gaszynski in the 57th minute of the match. Tytus Ogrodowicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Teobald Gaszynski fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MKS Legion Częstochowa's protests and gave Teobald Gaszynski a yellow card for diving instead. René Higuita made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Toni Polster sent off a good shot on target. If Teobald Gaszynski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in MKS Legion Częstochowa fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Kaplan a penalty, 76 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Serafin Froylan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of MKS Legion Częstochowa's Edmund Wielkopolski. 2-3. After 79 played minutes MKS Legion Częstochowa got a freekick which was hit by Teobald Gaszynski. 81 minutes into the match, Kaplan's goalkeeper René Higuita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Józef Pilsudski. In the 82nd minute, Teobald Gaszynski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 84th match minute, Kaplan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Bela to maneuver through the defense. When Ivan Poncio fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kaplan's protests and gave Ivan Poncio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th minute, one of Kaplan:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kaplan. Edmund Wielkopolski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Calisto in the 92nd minute of play. Józef Pilsudski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without René Higuita having to interfere. Toni Polster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without René Higuita having to interfere. MKS Legion Częstochowa's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
