Fc Benefica's Ferry Abbenbroek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bon Guidetti in the 3rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Fc Benefica defense, Bengt-Arne Pihlberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ferry Abbenbroek. The Fc Benefica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ferry Abbenbroek should have stopped the shot. 8 minutes into the game, Nathan Zegers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fc Benefica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karen FC the free kick. Nathan Zegers kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 11th minute Bon Guidetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferry Abbenbroek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Bon Guidetti left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Karen FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 14th minute of the game Izaak Krijnenburg made a throw-in which Christijan Oorthuis played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Arne Pihlberg in the 25th minute of play forced Fc Benefica's goalkeeper Ferry Abbenbroek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Fc Benefica's goal looked a bit too open when Fred-Marc Richter came free, but Ferry Abbenbroek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Karen FC booed when Fc Benefica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurens Kruijs didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Karen FC defense, Christijan Oorthuis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bengt-Åke Smitt. The Karen FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bengt-Åke Smitt should have stopped the shot. Bengt-Arne Pihlberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bon Guidetti in the 45th minute of play forced Fc Benefica's goalkeeper Ferry Abbenbroek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Roeland Ridder kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The long shot by Bon Guidetti in the 55th minute really tested Ferry Abbenbroek's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 55 played minutes Fc Benefica got a freekick which was hit by Theo Blikman. If Bon Guidetti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Fc Benefica getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Diderik Fellinger hit a great ball. Karen FC's Bon Guidetti shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 62nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ferry Abbenbroek but with some difficulty. With a little luck, Fc Benefica's Ferry Abbenbroek got control of the ball when Bon Guidetti tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Fc Benefica getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Christijan Oorthuis hit a great ball. Fc Benefica's Ferry Abbenbroek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bon Guidetti in the 67th minute of play. Roeland Ridder's late challenge caught a Karen FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roeland Ridder helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Fc Benefica's goalkeeper Ferry Abbenbroek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 75 minutes of play, Karen FC's Bon Guidetti made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ferry Abbenbroek was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bengt-Åke Smitt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christijan Oorthuis went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Karen FC's Tomas Nordmark was substituted for Bengt-Arne Pihlberg. The supporters of Karen FC booed when Fc Benefica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roeland Ridder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Nordmark fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferry Abbenbroek having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Bon Guidetti reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ferry Abbenbroek. The goal made the score 2-5. Bon Guidetti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Ferry Abbenbroek made a huge save.
