Spectators: 7496 (Terracing: 5623, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jörgen Bjurström started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Nils Liedholm IF's Zebastian Österlund got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 14th minute Jörgen Bjurström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benicio Lorien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 played minutes Nils Liedholm IF got a freekick which was hit by Edvin Bergkvist. Epifanio Paulin hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After 26 minutes, Kalle Norström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nils Liedholm IF and the San Martin de Tucuman players grew even worse after the yellow card. Amadeo Vincent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ove Hake tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th match minute, Nils Liedholm IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörgen Bjurström to maneuver through the defense. Ove Hake showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Astor Kepa in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 48th minute Geronimo Bernaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ove Hake saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amadeo Vincent to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to San Martin de Tucuman getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Amadeo Vincent hit a great ball. With a little luck, Nils Liedholm IF's Ove Hake got control of the ball when Amadeo Vincent tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th minute, Nils Liedholm IF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Flavio Blai fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ove Hake made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amadeo Vincent in the 71st minute. The supporters of Nils Liedholm IF booed when San Martin de Tucuman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Oxarra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benicio Lorien didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Birger Kleen went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Amadeo Vincent recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the game, San Martin de Tucuman's Blas Oxarra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ove Hake made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 97 minutes into the game, Zebastian Österlund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nils Liedholm IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Martin de Tucuman the free kick. After 97 played minutes Nils Liedholm IF got a freekick which was hit by Zebastian Österlund. Nils Liedholm IF succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though San Martin de Tucuman had controlled the match.
