Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Christijan Oorthuis started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 9th minute, Östen Olsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacco Swart was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Birger Kleen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Birger Kleen really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 16th minute, Jörgen Bjurström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacco Swart was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The supporters of Nils Liedholm IF booed when Fc Benefica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christijan Oorthuis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 played minutes Fc Benefica got a freekick which was hit by Theo Blikman. In the 23rd match minute, Fc Benefica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christijan Oorthuis to maneuver through the defense. Jacco Swart didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kalle Norström went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. After 32 minutes of play, Nils Liedholm IF's Birger Kleen made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacco Swart was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Theo Blikman came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Fc Benefica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theo Blikman couldn't finish the play. Ove Hake showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christijan Oorthuis, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The supporters of Fc Benefica booed when Nils Liedholm IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Einar Borre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christijan Oorthuis took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ove Hake. Ove Hake dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. After 45 minutes of play, Fc Benefica's Christijan Oorthuis made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ove Hake was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jörgen Bjurström was the one to do the kick off. Jan Tulner hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 52nd match minute, Nils Liedholm IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry Wennerquist to maneuver through the defense. After 58 played minutes Nils Liedholm IF got a freekick which was hit by Birger Kleen. Christijan Oorthuis scored 5-3 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ove Hake, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fc Benefica's Jacco Swart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birger Kleen in the 65th minute of play. A collision led to Nils Liedholm IF getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Kalle Norström hit a great ball. After 68 minutes, Nathan Zegers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fc Benefica and the Nils Liedholm IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Nils Liedholm IF booed when Fc Benefica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nathan Zegers didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd play minute Christijan Oorthuis came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ove Hake. 5-4. Birger Kleen scored 6-4 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacco Swart, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Birger Kleen charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Birger Kleen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 92nd minute Theo Blikman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ove Hake saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nils Liedholm IF's goalkeeper Ove Hake, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nils Liedholm IF were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Fc Benefica for a fine match.
