Amancio Pedrueza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnulfo Manilan, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After some careless play in the Estudiantes de Merida FC defense, Arnulfo Manilan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amancio Pedrueza. The Estudiantes de Merida FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amancio Pedrueza should have stopped the shot. In the 25th minute, Lucio Maju made a precise shot to the right of Amancio Pedrueza. Estudiantes de Merida FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. A collision led to Estudiantes de Merida FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. AFC CERBEROS's supporters rose to their feet, but Epifanio Hotz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amancio Pedrueza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Beliran in the 85th minute of play forced Estudiantes de Merida FC's goalkeeper Amancio Pedrueza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucio Maju could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Amancio Pedrueza made a huge save.
