After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes de Merida FC's zone, Daniel Dziura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amancio Pedrueza came out of the goal and Daniel Dziura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bortzaioriz Ganzo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amancio Pedrueza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Dziura's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Amancio Pedrueza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Dziura went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After 37 minutes, Daniel Dziura made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Estudiantes de Merida FC's Amancio Pedrueza tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Dziura took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amancio Pedrueza. Amancio Pedrueza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Set Fire's Daniel Dziura got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Estudiantes de Merida FC defense, Tozé Novais kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amancio Pedrueza. The Estudiantes de Merida FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amancio Pedrueza should have stopped the shot. After the first half Set Fire were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The crowd rose to their feet as Set Fire's Tozé Novais slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Amancio Pedrueza. That made the score 0-7 after 53 minutes of play. Amancio Pedrueza was a little too slow when Daniel Dziura got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-8. The audience was convinced that Daniel Dziura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amancio Pedrueza was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. The supporters of Estudiantes de Merida FC booed when Set Fire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toni Bastos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Daniel Dziura dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Amancio Pedrueza, 0-9. Jose Nevares hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Set Fire's Daniel Dziura got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Estudiantes de Merida FC's Amancio Pedrueza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tozé Novais in the 78th minute of play. Daniel Dziura did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-10 to the left of a surprised Amancio Pedrueza 81 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Estudiantes de Merida FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Set Fire a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rogério Pedrosa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Estudiantes de Merida FC's Amancio Pedrueza. 0-11. After 91 played minutes Daniel Dziura rounded Estudiantes de Merida FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-12. Toni Bastos charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toni Bastos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Set Fire walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
