Gláuber das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Hyper9 -DMZ-'s Thiago Pinho got control of the ball when Diego Borges tried to sneak it across the goal line. Olavo Dionísio came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Hyper9 -DMZ-'s Luís Gustavo Cruz. But to his dismay, Luís Gustavo Cruz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luís Gustavo Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olavo Dionísio having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 17th minute by Diego Borges got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Hyper9 -DMZ-'s Thiago Pinho got control of the ball when Diego Borges tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zé Pedro Nóbrega took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olavo Dionísio. Olavo Dionísio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 26 minutes into the game, Hyper9 -DMZ-'s Zé Pedro Nóbrega nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olavo Dionísio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Diego Borges's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Thiago Pinho skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Pedro Nóbrega in the 32nd minute of play forced MelissaMel's goalkeeper Olavo Dionísio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 0-4 became the score in the 34th minute when Zé Pedro Nóbrega elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Kaká Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Hyper9 -DMZ-'s zone, Diego Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Pinho came out of the goal and Diego Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thiago Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Borges in the 46th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diego Borges made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Borges in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pinho saved Hyper9 -DMZ- from getting behind. When Willian Meireles came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the MelissaMel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Willian Meireles couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Borges in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pinho saved Hyper9 -DMZ- from getting behind. Thiago Pinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaká Dante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gláuber das Neves during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Gláuber das Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Gustavo Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Olavo Dionísio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Pedro Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, MelissaMel's Diego Borges sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pinho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 78 minutes into the game, José Maria de Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hyper9 -DMZ-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MelissaMel the free kick. The supporters of MelissaMel booed when Hyper9 -DMZ- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Maria de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Borges in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pinho saved Hyper9 -DMZ- from getting behind. Dagoberto Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Olavo Dionísio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Gustavo Cruz in the 83rd minute. After having played for 84 minutes, Zé Pedro Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hyper9 -DMZ-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Pedro Nóbrega was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Borges in the 89th minute of play forced Hyper9 -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Thiago Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Kaká Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diego Borges in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diego Borges's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see MelissaMel lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
