Adrian Curcio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Umberto Leme's late challenge caught a Grosso United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Umberto Leme helped the player get up and apologised. Umberto Leme hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Kaká Dante blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Saturnino Romo having to make a save. 14 minutes into the match, MelissaMel's goalkeeper Olavo Dionísio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godofredo Manny. 24 minutes into the match, MelissaMel's goal looked a bit too open when Godofredo Manny came free, but Olavo Dionísio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Wilton Bertassi fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MelissaMel's protests and gave Wilton Bertassi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to MelissaMel getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Wilton Bertassi hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Leandro Lorenz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the game, MelissaMel's Willian Meireles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Saturnino Romo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 35th match minute, MelissaMel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiaguinho Vinhas to maneuver through the defense. Grosso United's Adrian Curcio got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to MelissaMel getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Willian Meireles hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diego Borges to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Grosso United's Godofredo Manny nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olavo Dionísio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Adrian Curcio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grosso United's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrian Curcio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olavo Dionísio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 61 minutes into the game, Adrian Curcio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Olavo Dionísio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Grosso United's Saturnino Romo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Grosso United from getting a goal against them. After 74 played minutes MelissaMel got a freekick which was hit by Willian Meireles. Olavo Dionísio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Curcio in the 76th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Adrian Curcio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grosso United's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrian Curcio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olavo Dionísio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Godofredo Manny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Olavo Dionísio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Adrian Curcio came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Grosso United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Curcio couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Willian Meireles during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Willian Meireles hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Grosso United were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
