Bajen's Anders Överman got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 21 minutes into the game, Dinei Goiano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Arne Emander was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 26th minute, Elias Marquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Wambalamba FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Leonel Couto hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Bajen's goal looked a bit too open when Adhemar da Fonseca came free, but Arne Emander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Adhemar da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute Allan Ström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Mello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st match minute, Bajen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Kuse to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dinei Goiano was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anders Överman in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Naldo Mello saved Wambalamba FC from getting behind. 60 minutes into the game, Bajen's Allan Ström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Naldo Mello made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Bajen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Adhemar da Fonseca scored to the left of an out of position Arne Emander, making the score, 1-2. Arne Emander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinei Goiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 82nd minute, Jonas Vennerberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Bajen getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Anders Överman hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Bajen's goal looked a bit too open when Hamílton Campidelis came free, but Arne Emander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th match minute, Wambalamba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio Pinho to maneuver through the defense. Allan Ström struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Naldo Mello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bajen. After 94 played minutes Bajen got a freekick which was hit by Allan Ström. Adhemar da Fonseca was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 95th minute. Wambalamba FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Wambalamba FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
