Tam Clerk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgar Piszczor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. If Drew McMurchie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the game, Bartlomiej Gondela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jadymy Durś's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lord of the Wings the free kick. Bartlomiej Gondela hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The supporters of Lord of the Wings booed when Jadymy Durś was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wieslaw Wnukowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lord of the Wings's Tam Clerk got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jadymy Durś's Edgar Piszczor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tam Clerk in the 40th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Drew McMurchie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lord of the Wings's supporters rose to their feet, but Drew McMurchie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Piszczor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tam Clerk to strike the kick off in the second half. Lord of the Wings's Alisdair Ferries played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiktor Fronczak in the 56th minute of play. Tam Clerk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Piszczor having to interfere. Troy McLewis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Edgar Piszczor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Drew McMurchie fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lord of the Wings's protests and gave Drew McMurchie a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 played minutes Lord of the Wings got a freekick which was hit by Drew McMurchie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartosz Komanski in the 65th minute of play forced Lord of the Wings's goalkeeper Alisdair Ferries to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lord of the Wings's Alisdair Ferries played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartosz Komanski in the 70th minute of play. After 71 played minutes Jadymy Durś got a freekick which was hit by Wieslaw Wnukowski. The crowd rose to their feet as Drew McMurchie kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edgar Piszczor. That made the score 0-1 in the 73 minute of play. In the 77th minute, Tam Clerk made a precise shot to the right of Edgar Piszczor. Jadymy Durś's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Edgar Piszczor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Drew McMurchie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Drew McMurchie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edgar Piszczor came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Lord of the Wings's Tam Clerk. But to his dismay, Tam Clerk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The Lord of the Wings supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lord of the Wings would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
