The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonides Ekain helped the player get up and apologised. When Teodosio Aritza in the 10th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Walmyr Bezerra kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. In the 17th minute Teodosio Aritza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmyr Bezerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La Vieja Guarida FC's Carlos Lidon got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teodosio Aritza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Walmyr Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of La Vieja Guarida FC booed when Calesso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Paulo Paraíba in the 26th minute of play forced La Vieja Guarida FC's goalkeeper Zeledon Rolado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Calesso FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Lidon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Calesso FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Teodosio Aritza scored to the left of an out of position Walmyr Bezerra, making the score, 3-0. Calesso FC's Walmyr Bezerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodosio Aritza in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Lidon was the one to do the kick off. When Carlos Lidon, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 53 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Walmyr Bezerra was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Calesso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Aritza came free, but Walmyr Bezerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walmyr Bezerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Munio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Walmyr Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Lidon in the 65th minute of play. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Carlos Lidon sped through Calesso FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Walmyr Bezerra. In the 69th minute, Teodosio Aritza made a precise shot to the right of Walmyr Bezerra. Calesso FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Teodosio Aritza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the game, La Vieja Guarida FC's Teodosio Aritza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Walmyr Bezerra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. The supporters of Calesso FC booed when La Vieja Guarida FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nemesio Cordarell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Paulo Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match.
