The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to AB Tårnby getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Bengt Schouenborg hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the match, Caskinha Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Lauridsen came free, but Umberto França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thomas Lauridsen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
