The crowd rose to their feet as Ricart Futebol Clube's Gilson Braga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Umberto França. That made the score 3-0 after 11 minutes of play. When Bruno Alagoano fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caskinha Esporte Clube's protests and gave Bruno Alagoano a yellow card for diving instead. Umberto França showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermínio Barreto in the 16th minute of the match. In the 17th match minute, Caskinha Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cacá Mandrak to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ricart Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Fred Capixaba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Aílton Corrêa took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Umberto França to make any attempt to save it. Gilson Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Umberto França showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marquinhos Azevedo in the 26th minute of the match. Umberto França was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 8-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juarês Cardoso to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Ricart Futebol Clube's zone, Juarês Cardoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fred Capixaba came out of the goal and Juarês Cardoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Umberto França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos da Fonseca in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Aílton Corrêa made a precise shot to the right of Umberto França. Caskinha Esporte Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 16-0.
