The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Américo Albuquerque reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of David Ahlstedt. The goal made the score 1-0. David Ahlstedt made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Salvador Sobral sent off a good shot on target. Germano Carmona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claes Bennet in the 12th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 14 minutes into the game, when Salvador Sobral put in a rough tackle. A collision led to Stars Academy getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Salvador Sobral hit a great ball. When Bror Stålman came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Al-Slottshöjden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bror Stålman couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Stars Academy's António Cortez got a free kick in the 25th minute. Bror Stålman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Germano Carmona. Stars Academy's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Bergstedt in the 27th minute of play forced Stars Academy's goalkeeper Germano Carmona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Germano Carmona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt-Arne Danielsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stars Academy's Germano Carmona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt-Arne Danielsson in the 39th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Stars Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Bergstedt came free, but Germano Carmona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Nordin in the 44th minute of play forced Stars Academy's goalkeeper Germano Carmona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Stars Academy's Nivaldo Bulhosa got a free kick in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Bento Perdigão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Germano Carmona was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Martin Bergstedt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 60 minute of play. Germano Carmona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt-Arne Danielsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nivaldo Bulhosa hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Germano Carmona made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martin Bergstedt in the 68th minute. When Américo Albuquerque came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Stars Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Américo Albuquerque couldn't finish the play. Mark Nordin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germano Carmona having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Al-Slottshöjden's zone, Américo Albuquerque stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Ahlstedt came out of the goal and Américo Albuquerque tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martin Bergstedt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Germano Carmona made a huge save. David Ahlstedt came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Stars Academy's Américo Albuquerque. But to his dismay, Américo Albuquerque quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Germano Carmona successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 95th match minute, Al-Slottshöjden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthon Torsberg to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Al-Slottshöjden booed when Stars Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Carrasqueira didn't get a good kick on the ball.
