The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Maverick Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Thomás Tepedino hit a great ball. Maverick Futebol Clube's Wesley Meira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Maverick Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. João Augusto Araújo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wesley Meira having to make a save. After having played for 8 minutes, Dorival de Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ECS FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorival de Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vágner Rossi in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wesley Meira saved Maverick Futebol Clube from getting behind. The ECS FK fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when ECS FK's Vágner Rossi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sandrinho Quintal kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Dorival de Moraess short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Wesley Meira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vágner Rossi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Wesley Meira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 19 minutes, João Tinoco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maverick Futebol Clube and the ECS FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wesley Meira was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Vágner Rossi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vágner Rossi really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Wesley Meira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vágner Rossi's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Wesley Meira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Renan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Vágner Rossi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wesley Meira. That made the score 4-0 in the 38 minute of play. Marcelo Linares's late challenge caught a Maverick Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelo Linares helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, ECS FK's Marcelo Linares got a free kick in the 41st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Vágner Rossi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wesley Meira. That made the score 6-0 in the 46 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vágner Rossi to make the kick off. Vitório Berger was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Olívio Teles. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Vágner Rossi sped through Maverick Futebol Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wesley Meira. 68 minutes into the game, Vágner Proença was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maverick Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ECS FK the free kick. Wesley Meira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dorival de Moraes went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vágner Rossi in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wesley Meira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to ECS FK getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Leopoldo Rodrigues hit a great ball. After having played for 83 minutes, Sandrinho Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maverick Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandrinho Quintal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wesley Meira came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by ECS FK's Vágner Rossi. But to his dismay, Vágner Rossi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-0. If Vágner Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 98 minutes into the match, Dorival de Moraes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wesley Meira. Maverick Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dorival de Moraes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 12-0.
