Spectators: 7638 (Terracing: 5730, Seating: 1756, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Abelardo Perico started the match with the kick off. When Simão Pinheiro came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Figueira SC FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simão Pinheiro couldn't finish the play. Figueira SC FSCMZ's Simão Arósio got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Geovani Borges fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Figueira SC FSCMZ's protests and gave Geovani Borges a yellow card for diving instead. Geovani Borges hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geovani Borges in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Judas Icardi saved Fcion C.A. from getting behind. After 18 minutes of play, Figueira SC FSCMZ's Geovani Borges made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Judas Icardi was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 24 minutes, Evaristo Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Figueira SC FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evaristo Meira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th match minute, Fcion C.A. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celestino Sarracino to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute Geovani Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Judas Icardi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Arósio in the 46th minute of play forced Fcion C.A.'s goalkeeper Judas Icardi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evaristo Meira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Fcion C.A.'s goal looked a bit too open when Geovani Borges came free, but Judas Icardi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simão Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Simão Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fcion C.A.'s Judas Icardi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Pinheiro in the 68th minute of play. Judas Icardi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danilo Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Abelardo Perico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute Geovani Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Judas Icardi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovani Borges in the 93rd minute of play forced Fcion C.A.'s goalkeeper Judas Icardi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Fcion C.A.'s zone, Evaristo Meira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Judas Icardi came out of the goal and Evaristo Meira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Geovani Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Figueira SC FSCMZ fully deserved thier win.
