Spectators: 7536 (Terracing: 5653, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Evaristo Meira got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Sao Brasola booed when Figueira SC FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renatinho Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Evaristo Meira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Franco Albanesi. Sao Brasola's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evaristo Meira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 10 minutes of play, Figueira SC FSCMZ's Geovani Borges made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franco Albanesi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 12th minute Evaristo Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Albanesi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Simão Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Figueira SC FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Simão Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franco Albanesi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute Geovani Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Albanesi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franco Albanesi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovani Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Sao Brasola's goalkeeper Franco Albanesi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 35th minute of the match Marcelo Medeiros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Franco Albanesi skillfully saved the ball. In the 36th minute, Geovani Borges ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Franco Albanesi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Geovani Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Franco Albanesi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovani Borges in the 43rd minute of the match. Sao Brasola's Franco Albanesi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Arósio in the 44th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arturo Cirelli made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Afonsinho Donatello during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Afonsinho Donatello kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Geovani Borges fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 55th minute, Figueira SC FSCMZ's Simão Arósio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. A collision led to Figueira SC FSCMZ getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Marcelo Medeiros hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arturo Cirelli during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Figueira SC FSCMZ booed when Sao Brasola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Cirelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 60 played minutes Figueira SC FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Geovani Borges. Franco Albanesi came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Figueira SC FSCMZ's Simão Pinheiro. But to his dismay, Simão Pinheiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Sao Brasola's Franco Albanesi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Sao Brasola from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Afonsinho Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Figueira SC FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonsinho Donatello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franco Albanesi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the match, Sao Brasola's goal looked a bit too open when Geovani Borges came free, but Franco Albanesi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simão Pinheiros short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Franco Albanesi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Simão Pinheiro scored 0-8 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franco Albanesi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Franco Albanesi had great luck who in the 88thth minute grab hold of the ball when Geovani Borges from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. A collision led to Sao Brasola getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Edmondo Lucentini hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evaristo Meira got free with Franco Albanesi in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Geovani Borgess short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Franco Albanesi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 96th match minute, Figueira SC FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Marques to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Figueira SC FSCMZ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sao Brasola throughout the match.
