After 40 minutes, Arí Lucas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villa Verde FC and the Futuros FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Davi Barbosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Igor Camargo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Davi Barbosa ran back to his position shaking his head. Igor Camargo came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Futuros FC's Davi Barbosa. But to his dismay, Davi Barbosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 47th minute Jarbas Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Camargo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Villa Verde FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Futuros FC were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oscar Trevisan was the one to do the kick off. Afonso Baiano's late challenge caught a Futuros FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afonso Baiano helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Villa Verde FC's Afonso Baiano got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After 56 played minutes Futuros FC got a freekick which was hit by Agnaldo Brasil. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Futuros FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
