The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Gustavo Gerber got free with Koko Duro in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute, Guará FC's Ivo Figueiredo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Koko Duro. Koko Duro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 21 minutes into the game, Oscar Trevisan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Diamantino Catarinense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Falcão Colorado kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Ivo Figueiredo succeeded in the game's 29th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. 33 minutes into the match, Guará FC's Luís Gustavo Gerber sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Koko Duro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luís Gustavo Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Koko Duro having to interfere. A collision led to Guará FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Luís Gustavo Gerber hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Futuros FC's Agnaldo Brasil got a free kick in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Luís Gustavo Gerber made the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Guará FC got a freekick which was hit by Ivo Figueiredo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivo Figueiredo in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Koko Duro saved Futuros FC from getting behind. Luís Gustavo Gerber struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Koko Duro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guará FC. The supporters of Guará FC booed when Futuros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juarês Marinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute, Oscar Trevisan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Futuros FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, Guará FC could leave the field as winners, despite Futuros FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
