Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonso Baiano in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diamantino Catarinense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Guará FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Horácio Ceresso was slow to take the kick. During this time Villa Verde FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 27th match minute, Guará FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Gustavo Gerber to maneuver through the defense. Igor Camargo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gino do Vale went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After 55 played minutes Guará FC got a freekick which was hit by Ivo Figueiredo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonso Baiano in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diamantino Catarinense saved Guará FC from getting behind. Diamantino Catarinense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso Baiano's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Afonso Baiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Diamantino Catarinense made a huge save. In the 67th minute, Juan Ceresso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Gustavo Gerber in the 70th minute of play forced Villa Verde FC's goalkeeper Igor Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Guará FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naldo Peixoto to maneuver through the defense.
