Raimundo Reis struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Simon Pagnoux didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Noroeste Paulista. After having played for 18 minutes, Raimundo Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Noroeste Paulista's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Reis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raimundo Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Pagnoux having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cyber Attack's zone, Raimundo Reis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Pagnoux came out of the goal and Raimundo Reis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute, Jean-Marie Péneau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simon Pagnoux took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Sérgio Davids in the 32nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Cyber Attack's Daniel Béroud. Cláudio Taffarel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lionel Florent went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 41st minute, Rémy Jacquey left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cyber Attack fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Noroeste Paulista's Cláudio Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rémy Jacquey in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geovânio Quirino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cláudio Taffarel made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Rémy Jacquey sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Cyber Attack booed when Noroeste Paulista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cauã Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. Noroeste Paulista's Cláudio Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marouane Lengrand in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Noroeste Paulista's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marouane Lengrand was slow to take the kick. During this time Cyber Attack's players had a chance to rest. When Betão Pinheiro fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Noroeste Paulista's protests and gave Betão Pinheiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th match minute, Noroeste Paulista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betão Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. Simon Pagnoux showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovânio Quirino, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. When Betão Pinheiro came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Noroeste Paulista fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Betão Pinheiro couldn't finish the play. In the 69th minute Rémy Jacquey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Lionel Florent hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute, Cyber Attack's Rémy Jacquey dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Lionel Florent charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lionel Florent the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 85 played minutes Cyber Attack got a freekick which was hit by Lionel Florent. Noroeste Paulista's Raí Custódio was substituted for Raimundo Reis. After 86 played minutes Cyber Attack got a freekick which was hit by Lionel Florent. In the 87th minute, Betão Pinheiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Simon Pagnoux showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Augusto Azevedo in the 89th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Sérgio Davids in the 93rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Cyber Attack's Daniel Béroud. Simon Pagnoux came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Noroeste Paulista's Franklin Vander. But to his dismay, Franklin Vander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Noroeste Paulista lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
