Spectators: 7514 (Terracing: 5636, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Geovânio Quirino took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cauã Borges in the 6th minute of play forced DINAMO's goalkeeper Horea Hurmuzache to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute Ryszard Borcz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ryszard Borcz in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cláudio Taffarel saved Noroeste Paulista from getting behind. In the 15th minute, Noroeste Paulista's Raimundo Reis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Horea Hurmuzache. Horea Hurmuzache yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 18 minutes into the match, Ryszard Borcz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cláudio Taffarel. Noroeste Paulista's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ryszard Borcz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Cláudio Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryszard Borcz in the 22nd minute of the match. Călin Feroiu kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 27 played minutes DINAMO got a freekick which was hit by George Martin. The long shot by Jailson Penha in the 29th minute really tested Horea Hurmuzache's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Cláudio Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryszard Borcz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, João Augusto Azevedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horea Hurmuzache was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Betão Pinheiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Horea Hurmuzache when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Geovânio Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Noroeste Paulista's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovânio Quirino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horea Hurmuzache breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ryszard Borcz was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Călin Feroiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raimundo Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Horea Hurmuzache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horea Hurmuzache stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Geovânio Quirino's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Geovânio Quirino spun around in front of the goal 64 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of DINAMO's goal. Horea Hurmuzache came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Noroeste Paulista's Geovânio Quirino. But to his dismay, Geovânio Quirino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. João Augusto Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horea Hurmuzache having to interfere. Noroeste Paulista's Franklin Vander was substituted for Geovânio Quirino. Noroeste Paulista's Raí Custódio was substituted for Raimundo Reis. Horea Hurmuzache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Vander in the 82nd minute of play. Ryszard Borcz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Cláudio Taffarel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute of the match Noroeste Paulista got a corner. DINAMO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. João Augusto Azevedo ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that João Augusto Azevedo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Horea Hurmuzache quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. DINAMO's Horea Hurmuzache played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raí Custódio in the 97th minute of play.
