In the 7th minute Ryszard Murdza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicu Arghirescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romeo Ungur's late challenge caught a Husaria Dukla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romeo Ungur helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Club Sportiv Medgidia getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Romeo Ungur hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the game, Ziemowit Kissel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Husaria Dukla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Sportiv Medgidia the free kick. Ziemowit Kissel kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Stelian Hulubei ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Feliks Kaczanek was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Feliks Kaczanek acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 20th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Flavius Băieșu. Iwo Tomiczek took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicu Arghirescu. Nicu Arghirescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Feliks Kaczanek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stelian Hulubei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Augustin Horea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliks Kaczanek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stelian Hulubei kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Lucjan Bejger kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. When Dariusz Chwalkiewicz fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Husaria Dukla's protests and gave Dariusz Chwalkiewicz a yellow card for diving instead. Husaria Dukla's Feliks Kaczanek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Matei in the 35th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ştefan Alupulesei kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Feliks Kaczanek. That made the score 2-1 in the 38 minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Augustin Horea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Ştefan Alupulesei left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Sportiv Medgidia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After 55 played minutes Husaria Dukla got a freekick which was hit by Iwo Tomiczek. After 56 minutes, Flavius Băieșu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Sportiv Medgidia and the Husaria Dukla players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th minute, Flavius Băieșu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iwo Tomiczek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Nicu Arghirescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeo Ungur took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Feliks Kaczanek. Feliks Kaczanek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Feliks Kaczanek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augustin Horea, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Ziemowit Kissel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicu Arghirescu having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Ştefan Alupulesei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, Husaria Dukla's goal looked a bit too open when Augustin Horea came free, but Feliks Kaczanek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Club Sportiv Medgidia getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Edgar Molodețiu hit a great ball. The supporters of Husaria Dukla booed when Club Sportiv Medgidia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergiu Timaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th match minute, Husaria Dukla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucjan Bejger to maneuver through the defense. If Ryszard Murdza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Ludomir Chowaniec hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelian Hulubei in the 96th minute of play forced Husaria Dukla's goalkeeper Feliks Kaczanek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Sportiv Medgidia fully deserved thier win.
