Dimitri Huijbreghts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herminio Blasco in the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Herminio Blasco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dimitri Huijbreghts. Esquirla FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Herminio Blasco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. A hard shot 17 in the game by Philippe-Arnaud Van den Plas from a close distance when the talented Aaron Mero managed to make a qualified save. Yofré AFC's players were relieved. Yofré AFC's Aaron Mero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richy Van Mellaert in the 21st minute of play. Basiel Van de Weijer's late challenge caught a Yofré AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Basiel Van de Weijer helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Esquirla FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Basiel Van de Weijer hit a great ball. After having played for 26 minutes, Herminio Blasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yofré AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herminio Blasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Philippe-Arnaud Van den Plas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aaron Mero came out and tried to block the shot, but Philippe-Arnaud Van den Plas slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 29th minute. After 35 minutes of play, Esquirla FC's Michel Nilis made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After 45 played minutes, Esquirla FC's Gregorie De Mees shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aaron Mero came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Esquirla FC reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Sidoro during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Yofré AFC's Rafael Sidoro got a free kick in the 47th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Blasco in the 54th minute of play forced Esquirla FC's goalkeeper Dimitri Huijbreghts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Philippe-Arnaud Van den Plas took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aaron Mero. Aaron Mero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Michel Nilis hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Aaron Mero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philippe-Arnaud Van den Plas in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Oscar Chaime hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 67 played minutes Yofré AFC got a freekick which was hit by Herminio Blasco. Aaron Mero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerome Helssen in the 70th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Michel Nilis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esquirla FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yofré AFC the free kick. In the 76th minute Philippe-Arnaud Van den Plas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Mero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Yofré AFC's Valentin Nel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-2. Aaron Mero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richy Van Mellaert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Esteban Mendebal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute of the match Gregorie De Mees sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aaron Mero skillfully saved the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Yofré AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Philippe-Arnaud Van den Plas came free, but Aaron Mero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Yofré AFC's Valentin Nel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dimitri Huijbreghts. Dimitri Huijbreghts yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-3. Dimitri Huijbreghts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dario Tipi in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Yofré AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Esquirla FC.
