After a defensive mix-up in Esquirla FC's zone, Adriano do Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dimitri Huijbreghts came out of the goal and Adriano do Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute, Vic de Reyck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dimitri Huijbreghts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano do Nascimento in the 22nd minute of play. Víktor de Sena scored 0-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dimitri Huijbreghts, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dimitri Huijbreghts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio Guedes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Esquirla FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Toa Toa 4EVER were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Víktor de Sena made a kick off. Dimitri Huijbreghts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fábio Sergipano in the 52nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Adriano do Nascimento kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dimitri Huijbreghts. That made the score 1-4 in the 54 minute of play. Luís Fábio Sergipano struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Dimitri Huijbreghts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toa Toa 4EVER. After 62 played minutes Toa Toa 4EVER got a freekick which was hit by Walmyr Cardoso. After 66 played minutes Toa Toa 4EVER got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Guedes. After 67 played minutes, Esquirla FC's Vic de Reyck shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tarcio Bulisani came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Esquirla FC reached it. Fábio Guedes hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Simon Wery's late challenge caught a Toa Toa 4EVER's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simon Wery helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Toa Toa 4EVER booed when Esquirla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Wery didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Víktor de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Toa Toa 4EVER defense, Philippe-Arnaud Van den Plas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tarcio Bulisani. The Toa Toa 4EVER fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tarcio Bulisani should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Esquirla FC's Dimitri Huijbreghts got control of the ball when Adriano do Nascimento tried to sneak it across the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Michel Nilis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esquirla FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Toa Toa 4EVER the free kick.
