The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Fiume Veneto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Santo to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Club Atlethico Talleres booed when Fiume Veneto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anfilogino Cassone didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Domenico Forlano during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Club Atlethico Talleres booed when Fiume Veneto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domenico Forlano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute Ernesto Guillelmus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Tornese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Club Atlethico Talleres getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Igor Birila hit a great ball. Club Atlethico Talleres's Nemesio Hotz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Santo in the 31st minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tiburcio Papo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ferruccio Imperatore's late challenge caught a Club Atlethico Talleres's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ferruccio Imperatore helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd minute there was a penalty for Club Atlethico Talleres. Rodolfo Cuarto stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alfredo Tornese. 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlethico Talleres's zone, Alfredo Santo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nemesio Hotz came out of the goal and Alfredo Santo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nemesio Hotz made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Alfredo Santo sent off a good shot on target. After 58 played minutes Fiume Veneto got a freekick which was hit by Andrea Natalucci. Alfredo Tornese didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tiburcio Papo went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After 67 played minutes Fiume Veneto got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Santo. In the 68th minute Marco Tristan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Tornese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Fiume Veneto defense, Tiburcio Papo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredo Tornese. The Fiume Veneto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredo Tornese should have stopped the shot. 83 minutes into the game, Ernesto Guillelmus cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Alfredo Tornese was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Papo in the 92nd minute of play forced Fiume Veneto's goalkeeper Alfredo Tornese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Fiume Veneto's zone, Marco Tristan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Tornese came out of the goal and Marco Tristan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andrea Natalucci kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Atlethico Talleres fully deserved thier win.
