Dimitri Huijbreghts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Guillelmus in the 24th minute of play. After 35 played minutes Club Atlethico Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Jimeno Castel. Philippe-Arnaud Van den Plas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Nemesio Hotz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Philippe-Arnaud Van den Plass short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Nemesio Hotz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dimitri Huijbreghts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Guillelmus in the 42nd minute of play. Nemesio Hotz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richy Van Mellaert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 43 played minutes Club Atlethico Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Guillelmus. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiburcio Papo to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Philippe-Arnaud Van den Plas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nemesio Hotz. Club Atlethico Talleres's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Philippe-Arnaud Van den Plas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.
