The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alfredo Tornese stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guillaume Barillot's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Anfilogino Cassone hit a great ball. After 8 played minutes, Saint Côme de Fresné's Côme Durieu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alfredo Tornese came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Saint Côme de Fresné reached it. Guillaume Barillot succeeded in the game's 10th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Guillaume Barillot took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredo Tornese. Alfredo Tornese dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Alfredo Tornese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillaume Barillot in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Saint Côme de Fresné's Yann Saillet got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd match minute, Fiume Veneto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrea Natalucci to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Tornese took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olivier Barnier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Fiume Veneto's goal looked a bit too open when Guillaume Barillot came free, but Alfredo Tornese reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olivier Barnier blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredo Tornese having to make a save. Ferruccio Imperatore hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After 47 played minutes, Saint Côme de Fresné's Côme Durieu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alfredo Tornese came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Saint Côme de Fresné reached it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredo Santo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Côme Durieu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Noël Clenet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Santo in the 59th minute of the match. The supporters of Saint Côme de Fresné booed when Fiume Veneto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferruccio Imperatore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredo Tornese was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Olivier Barnier capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Olivier Barnier really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Alfredo Santo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Fiume Veneto's Alfredo Tornese got control of the ball when Côme Durieu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Côme Durieu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alfredo Tornese. Fiume Veneto's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Yazid Debuire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Tornese having to interfere. If Alfredo Santo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thibaut Abeille who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Alfredo Tornese when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 96 minutes, Guillaume Barillot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saint Côme de Fresné's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guillaume Barillot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Saint Côme de Fresné left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fiume Veneto.
