After some careless play in the Yofré AFC defense, Michael Käcker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aaron Mero. The Yofré AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aaron Mero should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt Stålman in the 21st minute of play forced Yofré AFC's goalkeeper Aaron Mero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Mountainhammer United's Alvin Hedström got a free kick in the 24th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oscar Chaime during the 26th minute. Mountainhammer United's Bengt Stålman got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oscar Chaime kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Aaron Mero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvin Hedström, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Aaron Mero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt Stålman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Hellkvist in the 42nd minute of play forced Yofré AFC's goalkeeper Aaron Mero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Bengt Stålman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aaron Mero was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dario Tipi made a kick off. Göran Gustafsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteve Mazuste, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Alvin Hedström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mountainhammer United's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvin Hedström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aaron Mero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aaron Mero was a little too slow when Michael Käcker got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-4. In the 61st minute, Yofré AFC's Victor Bidun seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Victor Bidun the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Yofré AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Victor Bidun had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Yofré AFC! The supporters of Mountainhammer United booed when Yofré AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Tipi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvin Hedström received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aaron Mero came out and tried to block the shot, but Alvin Hedström slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 68th minute. Aaron Mero made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Michael Käcker sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute, Mountainhammer United's Bengt Stålman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aaron Mero. Aaron Mero yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Yofré AFC's Aaron Mero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Yofré AFC from getting a goal against them. 92 minutes into the match, Alvin Hedström dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Aaron Mero, 0-8. Aaron Mero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvin Hedström in the 96th minute of play. In the 98th minute, Valentin Nel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Göran Gustafsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-8. Mountainhammer United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
