The supporters of FC Saubrigues booed when Talcampeón FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Francisco Maffey didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Adrien Cariou dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Apolo Larrañaga, 1-3. In the 20thth minute of the game Tanio Lezaeta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Saubrigues's Žydrūnas Danielius was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 22nd minute, Tanio Lezaeta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Morgan Guignard fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Saubrigues's protests and gave Morgan Guignard a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, Morgan Guignard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Žydrūnas Danielius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tanio Lezaeta in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute Yeray Lisperguer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Žydrūnas Danielius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jules Cointe charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jules Cointe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Saubrigues's Jules Cointe got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute, Tanio Lezaeta made a precise shot to the right of Žydrūnas Danielius. FC Saubrigues's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Adrien Cariou could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Apolo Larrañaga made a huge save. Apolo Larrañaga came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Saubrigues's Jules Cointe. But to his dismay, Jules Cointe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Žydrūnas Danielius stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tanio Lezaeta's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Adrien Cariou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Larrañaga having to interfere. Faudel Langlois kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Tanio Lezaeta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tanio Lezaeta was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Tanio Lezaeta lined in a short shot 2-5 behind a frustrated Žydrūnas Danielius. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tanio Lezaeta in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Žydrūnas Danielius saved FC Saubrigues from getting behind. Talcampeón FC's Apolo Larrañaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jules Cointe in the 60th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Tanio Lezaeta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Žydrūnas Danielius was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Žydrūnas Danielius stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tanio Lezaeta's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Tanio Lezaeta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Žydrūnas Danielius having to interfere. After 76 played minutes Talcampeón FC got a freekick which was hit by José Francisco Maffey. After having played for 78 minutes, Tanio Lezaeta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Talcampeón FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tanio Lezaeta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tanio Lezaeta in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Žydrūnas Danielius prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 84 played minutes FC Saubrigues got a freekick which was hit by Morgan Guignard. In the 85th minute, Talcampeón FC's Yeray Lisperguer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-6. The audience was convinced that Tanio Lezaeta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Žydrūnas Danielius was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Talcampeón FC's Ysmael Peraza has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 92nd minute. Žydrūnas Danielius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tanio Lezaeta in the 94th minute. The audience was convinced that Tanio Lezaeta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Žydrūnas Danielius was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Tanio Lezaeta who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Žydrūnas Danielius when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
