Alphonse Keita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gildo Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Žydrūnas Danielius having to interfere. Duarte Azevedo's late challenge caught a FC Saubrigues's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duarte Azevedo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th minute, Duarte Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Carlos Mattos in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Žydrūnas Danielius prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Žydrūnas Danielius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gildo Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Žydrūnas Danielius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Carlos Mattos in the 13th minute of play. In the 15thth minute of the game Gildo Corrêa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Saubrigues's Žydrūnas Danielius was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC Saubrigues's Žydrūnas Danielius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Azevedo in the 16th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Saubrigues's Morgan Guignard got a free kick in the 24th minute. João Carlos Mattos took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Žydrūnas Danielius. Žydrūnas Danielius dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Eliseu Negri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrien Cariou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute João Carlos Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Žydrūnas Danielius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute of the match Aírton Quirino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Žydrūnas Danielius showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Žydrūnas Danielius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Carlos Mattos in the 44th minute of the match. After 46 minutes, Olívio Coutinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New Loser FC and the FC Saubrigues players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, New Loser FC's Olívio Coutinho got a free kick in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gildo Corrêa was the one to do the kick off. Morgan Guignard charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Morgan Guignard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Morgan Guignard kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. João Carlos Mattos didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 53rd minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and João Carlos Mattos ran dejectedly back to his position. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Carlos Mattos got free with Žydrūnas Danielius in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. João Carlos Mattos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Žydrūnas Danielius skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Žydrūnas Danielius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gildo Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute, one of FC Saubrigues:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Saubrigues. After a defensive mix-up in FC Saubrigues's zone, João Carlos Mattos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Žydrūnas Danielius came out of the goal and João Carlos Mattos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Žydrūnas Danielius managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when New Loser FC's João Carlos Mattos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Gildo Corrêa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Žydrūnas Danielius. That made the score 0-4 in the 71 minute of play. In the 77th minute, Morgan Guignard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Saubrigues's Žydrūnas Danielius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save FC Saubrigues from getting a goal against them. Gildo Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Žydrūnas Danielius having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Jules Cointe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jules Cointe in the 87th minute of play forced New Loser FC's goalkeeper Eliseu Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Virgílio Diniz notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of FC Saubrigues's Žydrūnas Danielius. Žydrūnas Danielius was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Žydrūnas Danielius came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by New Loser FC's Virgílio Diniz. But to his dismay, Virgílio Diniz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Gildo Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Žydrūnas Danielius having to interfere. The FC Saubrigues fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. New Loser FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
