The audience thought a goal was coming when João Carlos Mattos got free with Severo Elequemedo in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute, João Carlos Mattos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of A.D Atlético Villa Gesell booed when New Loser FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Eger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severo Elequemedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Carlos Mattos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
