The supporters of Motu booed when AITEC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manfredo de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Motu getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Atilano Goizeder hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Horacio Harriet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bebeto de Azevedo was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Horacio Harriet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bebeto de Azevedo having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Motu's Horacio Harriet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bebeto de Azevedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Horacio Harriet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st match minute, Motu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixto Paublo to maneuver through the defense. Matías Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 34 played minutes AITEC got a freekick which was hit by Fiori Dantas. 38 minutes into the match, Miguel Porfiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bebeto de Azevedo. AITEC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Porfiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 45th match minute, Motu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atilano Goizeder to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Motu were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horacio Harriet to make the kick off. Matías Machado struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Sacha Tutov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AITEC. In the 54th minute, Atilano Goizeder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matías Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sacha Tutov having to interfere. Cornelio Abreu hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. The supporters of Motu booed when AITEC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Horacio Harriet struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Bebeto de Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Motu. After 69 played minutes AITEC got a freekick which was hit by Fiori Dantas. AITEC's Bebeto de Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save AITEC from getting a goal against them. Manfredo de Lara hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Horacio Harriet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bebeto de Azevedo was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Antunes in the 80th minute of play forced Motu's goalkeeper Sacha Tutov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, AITEC's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Harriet came free, but Bebeto de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sacha Tutov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Antunes in the 90th minute of play. Bebeto de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horacio Harriet in the 93rd minute of the match. After 96 minutes of play, AITEC's Luiz Antunes made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sacha Tutov was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Motu supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Motu would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
