Spectators: 7495 (Terracing: 5622, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joachim Hellgren kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the game, Jo Bag cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Arne Ambjörnsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Per-Oskar Tinglöv hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Surahammar's zone, Filip Mavrogheni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arne Ambjörnsson came out of the goal and Filip Mavrogheni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manole Ghiondea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inge Tunberg in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Calle Beck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Surahammar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Manole Ghiondea was a little too slow when Gottfrid Rang got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joachim Hellgren in the 28th minute of play forced Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Manole Ghiondea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basarab Zdroană took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arne Ambjörnsson. Arne Ambjörnsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rudolf Larsson during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th minute Jo Bag shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Ambjörnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 37 minutes into the game, when Sabin Zbârnea put in a rough tackle. Manole Ghiondea had in the 39thth minute some difficulties stopping Markus Bergsten's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 44th minute Basarab Zdroană shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Ambjörnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jo Bag to make the kick off. Galati Harbour Cats's Manole Ghiondea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joachim Hellgren in the 52nd minute of play. In the 57th play minute Iustin Neagoe came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Arne Ambjörnsson. 2-4. In the 62nd minute, Calle Beck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Markus Bergsten during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Galati Harbour Cats booed when Surahammar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Markus Bergsten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arne Ambjörnsson acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 66th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Filip Mavrogheni. Arne Ambjörnsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basarab Zdroană in the 69th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Petruț Vlăsiu during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Surahammar booed when Galati Harbour Cats was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petruț Vlăsiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 78 played minutes Galati Harbour Cats got a freekick which was hit by Basarab Zdroană. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jo Bag during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Galati Harbour Cats getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Jo Bag hit a great ball. In the 85th minute Joachim Hellgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manole Ghiondea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Galati Harbour Cats booed when Surahammar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Oskar Tinglöv didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alf Lindmark hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Basarab Zdroană got free with Arne Ambjörnsson in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Surahammar fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Galati Harbour Cats were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
