Åke Björling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 5th minute, Blåvitt's Ture Majman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Lukas Zander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Eklund, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Åke Björling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ture Majman in the 11th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ture Majman got free with Åke Björling in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Motala's Åke Björling proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Motala from getting a goal against them. 19 minutes into the game, Gustaf Åström recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Åke Björling. Gustaf Åström showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 24 minutes into the game, Blåvitt's Ture Majman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Åke Björling made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 30th minute, Motala's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ture Majman fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 36th minute, Gustaf Åström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 38 minutes, Arvin Uggstedt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Motala and the Blåvitt players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arvin Uggstedt hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Åke Björling made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Viktor Alegren sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd minute, Viktor Alegren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Åke Björling was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jack Eklund was the one to do the kick off. Åke Björling stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viktor Alegren's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Åke Björling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viktor Alegren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Motala defense, Gustaf Åström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Åke Björling. The Motala fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Åke Björling should have stopped the shot.
