Ferry Schattenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Kelmond S.C.'s Jan Oosting nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Lucas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ferry Schattenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Pires in the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Wanderson da Mata left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coice de Mula fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After 38 minutes Kelmond S.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Rezende who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Joel Rezende got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ferry Schattenberg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 42nd minute Joel Rezende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferry Schattenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferry Schattenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wanderson da Mata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jardel Mula to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Kelmond S.C. getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Ernst Overmars hit a great ball. Joel Rezende, 52 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Kelmond S.C.'s Ernst Overmars got a free kick in the 53rd minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jardel Mula couldn't finish the play. Kelmond S.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Haroldo Pires was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Edvaldo Soares hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Coice de Mula walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
