After having played for 23 minutes, Válbson Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Válbson Aguiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mateo Blanco helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ booed when La Zabaleta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Blanco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, Válbson Aguiar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The La Zabaleta manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ to win.
