Fiori Arósio was extremely unlucky when he, in the 5th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 7 minutes into the match, Cássio Prado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Angelino Raulo, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cássio Prado got free with Angelino Raulo in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Sagarana Clube's Tostão Goiano got a free kick in the 12th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sagarana Clube's zone, Isidro Adrio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dráuzio Arantes came out of the goal and Isidro Adrio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 18 played minutes La Zabaleta got a freekick which was hit by Isidro Adrio. Cássio Prado scored 2-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Angelino Raulo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. La Zabaleta's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Cássio Prado scored to the left of an out of position Angelino Raulo, making the score, 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Sagarana Clube's Cássio Prado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Angelino Raulo. That made the score 5-0 after 35 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mathias Berger got free with Angelino Raulo in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Cássio Prado took a quick shot and it went in 6-0 without a chance for Angelino Raulo to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of La Zabaleta booed when Sagarana Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleiton Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isidro Adrio made a kick off. Angelino Raulo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Prado in the 53rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Cássio Prado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angelino Raulo was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. 57 minutes into the match, La Zabaleta's goal looked a bit too open when Cássio Prado came free, but Angelino Raulo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fiori Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 61 minutes into the match, Mathias Berger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelino Raulo. La Zabaleta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mathias Berger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Mathias Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Angelino Raulo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, La Zabaleta's goal looked a bit too open when Cássio Prado came free, but Angelino Raulo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mathias Berger scored 8-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Angelino Raulo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to La Zabaleta getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Mateo Blanco hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Mathias Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sagarana Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathias Berger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelino Raulo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 77th minute, Mathias Berger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Mathias Berger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelino Raulo. La Zabaleta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mathias Berger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. Angelino Raulo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Berger, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After 90 played minutes Sagarana Clube got a freekick which was hit by César Carioca. 93 minutes into the match, La Zabaleta's goal looked a bit too open when Fiori Arósio came free, but Angelino Raulo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mathias Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelino Raulo having to interfere. Sagarana Clube walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
