A collision led to Nimród Vére getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. János Kántor hit a great ball. After 11 played minutes Máté Ábrahám rounded AC Milan's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. After 14 played minutes AC Milan got a freekick which was hit by Paris Kafropoulos. Panos Kamarinakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Máté Ábrahám, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Panos Kamarinakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Máté Ábrahám in the 25th minute of play. AC Milan were furious when Spyros Spanakis was red carded, 30 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Nimród Vére booed when AC Milan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Spyros Spanakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. András Nemes kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Nimród Vére's zone, Aris Kortzidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. János Saághy came out of the goal and Aris Kortzidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of AC Milan booed when Nimród Vére was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elek Sipos didn't get a good kick on the ball. János Saághy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikos Kosmidis in the 35th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Zalán Pető made a precise shot to the right of Panos Kamarinakis. AC Milan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 41st minute, Zalán Pető ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Panos Kamarinakis was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 43rd minute, Fotis Tatsis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Péter Szabados in the 44th minute of play forced AC Milan's goalkeeper Panos Kamarinakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. János Saághy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikos Kosmidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nikos Kosmidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nikos Kosmidis made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Zalán Pető ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Panos Kamarinakis was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Nikos Kosmidis struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. János Saághy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Milan. After a rather tough play, Nimród Vére's Örs Novák got a free kick in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aris Kortzidis got free with János Saághy in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nikos Kosmidis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. Alekos Volakis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, János Saághy skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Nikos Kosmidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. János Saághy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nimród Vére's János Saághy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikos Kosmidis in the 90th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Nimród Vére could leave the field as winners, despite AC Milan having more of the ball for most of the match.
