Gervasio Sazon came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by La Mandarina Mecánica's Leobardo Abajas. But to his dismay, Leobardo Abajas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 27 played minutes, La Mandarina Mecánica's Juan Pablo Magallanes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gervasio Sazon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Mandarina Mecánica reached it. 29 minutes into the match, Lesardo Abello had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gervasio Sazon. ORIZABA F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lesardo Abello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. A collision led to La Mandarina Mecánica getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Tibalt Abellaneda hit a great ball. Javier Rosario might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tanio Abeita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Javier Rosario ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the La Mandarina Mecánica defense, Victorino Primo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tanio Abeita. The La Mandarina Mecánica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tanio Abeita should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victorino Primo made a kick off. The supporters of La Mandarina Mecánica booed when ORIZABA F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorino Primo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victorino Primo scored 2-2 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tanio Abeita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Primo in the 61st minute of play forced La Mandarina Mecánica's goalkeeper Tanio Abeita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Juan Pablo Magallanes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, ORIZABA F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Leobardo Abajas came free, but Gervasio Sazon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gervasio Sazon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lesardo Abello in the 70th minute of play. In the 73rd match minute, La Mandarina Mecánica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorio Abella to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leobardo Abajas got free with Gervasio Sazon in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When La Mandarina Mecánica's Leobardo Abajas in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
