Christian Muc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrício Mesquita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Independiente's Christian Muc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrício Mesquita in the 5th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Mariano Gorosti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Gorosti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tautvydas Mickevičius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Tautvydas Mickevičius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting a goal against them.
