The corner led Dinamo Colorado's Cesinha Meirelles to fire away a dangerous shot which Christian Muc despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Dinamo Colorado's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Iruinea came free, but Vitório Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Dinamo Colorado's Vitório Andrade got control of the ball when Feliciano Jaunti tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Tomás Cordaryal hit a great ball. Bolívar Colorado hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The supporters of Independiente booed when Dinamo Colorado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesinha Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erasmo Martins to make the kick off. After 68 minutes of play, Independiente's Amado Pacorro made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vitório Andrade was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Iruinea in the 71st minute of play forced Dinamo Colorado's goalkeeper Vitório Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Independiente's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arturo Jesco in the 72nd minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Dinamo Colorado's goalie and right to Teobaldo Casomiro. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Dinamo Colorado's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal.
