Spectators: 7710 (Terracing: 5784, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Feliciano Jaunti kicked off to start the match. Christian Muc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desiderio Marti in the 5th minute of the match. When Independiente's Feliciano Jaunti in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Algarrobo's goalie prevented a goal. Petr Čech was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Arturo Jesco. If Amado Pacorro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Feliciano Jauntis short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Petr Čech to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Independiente! The referee gave Algarrobo a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Francisco Idoate, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Independiente's Christian Muc. 0-1. Christian Muc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Halat in the 44th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Algarrobo's Gonzalo Abarzuza was substituted for Adriel Argandoña. After 57 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Amado Pacorro. The audience was convinced that Feliciano Jaunti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petr Čech was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Christian Muc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Marti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Feliciano Jaunti in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petr Čech prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amado Pacorro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petr Čech having to interfere. In the 88th minute Desiderio Marti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Muc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amado Pacorro in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petr Čech saved Algarrobo from getting behind. Christian Muc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Abarzuza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Algarrobo's Francisco Idoate to fire away a dangerous shot which Christian Muc despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 97th minute Feliciano Jaunti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petr Čech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
