Independiente's Rodney Urbina suffered a concussion after 4 minutes and had to leave the field. Vidal Coya's late challenge caught a C. A. Independiente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vidal Coya helped the player get up and apologised. After 5 played minutes Carpasús FC - FDC got a freekick which was hit by Vidal Coya. 10 minutes into the match, Carpasús FC - FDC's Mauro Llanez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miguel Ángel Santoro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mauro Llanez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Miguel Ángel Santoro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Carpasús FC - FDC's zone, Guy Becerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kevin Mier came out of the goal and Guy Becerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauro Llanez kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Carpasús FC - FDC's Kevin Mier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guy Becerra in the 23rd minute of play. Miguel Ángel Santoro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauro Llanez in the 24th minute. Kevin Mier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ferdinand Bauer's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Carpasús FC - FDC's attentive Alvaro Pares managed to snatch the ball when Roy Huston made a throw-in in the 28th minute of the game. Vidal Coya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Miguel Ángel Santoro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mauro Llanez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Ángel Santoro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Carpasús FC - FDC's Vidal Coya managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Roy Huston in the 39 minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Mauro Llanez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Miguel Ángel Santoro. That made the score 1-0 in the 42 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauro Llanez was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Mauro Llanez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C. A. Independiente's Miguel Ángel Santoro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Miguel Ángel Santoro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Llanez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Mauro Llanez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miguel Ángel Santoro was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Roy Huston in the 65th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Carpasús FC - FDC's Alvaro Pares. Alvaro Pares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Ángel Santoro having to interfere. In the 68th minute Mauro Llanez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Ángel Santoro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Carpasús FC - FDC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Vidal Coya hit a great ball. Mauro Llanez scored 2-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Miguel Ángel Santoro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 74th minute, Mauro Llanez made a precise shot to the right of Miguel Ángel Santoro. C. A. Independiente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. C. A. Independiente's Miguel Ángel Santoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Llanez in the 80th minute of play. Ferdinand Bauer struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Kevin Mier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Independiente. In the 83rd minute, Vidal Coya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alvaro Pares made in the 85th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gero Urrea however managed to control. Carpasús FC - FDC's Vidal Coya got his second yellow card of the match in the 88th minute. The referee ordered Vidal Coya off the ground. In the 92ndth minute of the game Mauro Llanez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C. A. Independiente's Miguel Ángel Santoro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carpasús FC - FDC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
