When Makis Liras fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GREEN LIONS's protests and gave Makis Liras a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Forever Tango a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ulises Remir, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of GREEN LIONS's Antonis Maltezos. 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Forever Tango's goal looked a bit too open when Sakis Kaberis came free, but Marcelo Brion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanos Katsafanas charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thanos Katsafanas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Forever Tango booed when GREEN LIONS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thanos Katsafanas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Blas Havier notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of GREEN LIONS's Antonis Maltezos. Antonis Maltezos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Josef Müller's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antonis Maltezos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blas Havier in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonis Maltezos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 30 played minutes GREEN LIONS got a freekick which was hit by Dimitris Kalokiris. If Gualterio Mikolas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blas Havier in the 33rd minute of play forced GREEN LIONS's goalkeeper Antonis Maltezos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Brion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sakis Kaberis in the 34th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Prodromos Koufos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Brion was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 42 minutes into the game, Forever Tango's Blas Havier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Antonis Maltezos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Antonis Maltezos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blas Havier, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Emmanouil Bakogiannis hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

After 51 minutes, Apostolis Nafpliotis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GREEN LIONS and the Forever Tango players grew even worse after the yellow card. 51 minutes into the game, one of GREEN LIONS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Blas Havier hit a great ball. In the 66th minute Sakis Kaberis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Brion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Brion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitris Kalokiris in the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Dimitris Kalokiris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prodromos Koufos in the 72nd minute of play forced Forever Tango's goalkeeper Marcelo Brion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Forever Tango's Ulises Remir got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Marcelo Brion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prodromos Koufos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute Blas Havier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonis Maltezos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 90th minute of the match Makis Liras completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Makis Liras a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 91st minute, Makis Liras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antonis Maltezos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Gaspard, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The Forever Tango players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
